La Lamar High School Band |
Congratulations to the Lamar High School Band for receiving an overall second division at the Region II Concert Contest held at Alma on Thursday, March 13!

On Thursday March 13, 2008, guest conductor Chris Kamerling came to assist the band in their preparation for band contest. They will be performing the New Horizons March composed by Mr. Kameriling. He is the assistant band director at Pottsville High School. |

RaRalph Johnson is the band director for Lamar High School. He established the band program at Lamar High School in 1987. Before that, there had not been a band at Lamar since 1962. |

TTThe high school band consists of students in grades 9-12. The marching band performs for all the football games and selected basketball home games. This year, the band competed at two marching contests. The band is shown here competing at the Fort Smith Northside Inivitational on October 23rd.
