Community Involvement

The Beta club had a penny drive to raise money this year for two charities. They gave Needy Paws a check for $525.00 and also bought presents for nursing home residents in the Countryside Manor. While delivering gifts, they seranaded the nursing home residents with Christmas carols. Past charity work includes raising money for Angel Trees and food drives.

 

 

Beta Convention

Students work the concession stand year round to earn money to pay for Beta convention. Beta convention is held in January and students compete in a variety of competitions from acedemics to talent shows.

 

 

 

 

 

 

ZQQuiz Bowl

Quiz Bowl members Matt P, Max D, Summer N, Chase B, and Kaylie C all participated in a faceoff with the teachers on January 23rd. Teachers Mrs. Vandaveer, Mr. Little, Mrs. Boen and Coach Smith beat the students 300-270.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Beta Club Batchelor Auction

The Beta club sponsored a batchelor auction during basketball homecoming week. Lucky ladies got to bid on and go to the dance with the man of their dreams. Over $250.00 was raised and donated to the Needy Paws animal shelter.
